DENVER (AP) — The Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System is restarting surgical procedures.
The Denver Post reports (http://dpo.st/1qAGxnp ) that surgeries resume Thursday. The system ceased surgical procedures on Friday over concerns about its air-handling units.
There were 115 procedure cancellations, with 17 urgent cases being sent to outside facilities.
The system says it has inspected facilities and is ready to resume surgical procedures.
Veterans who had their appointments cancelled will receive rescheduling priority. The system is based in Denver and serves veterans throughout the Front Range of Colorado.
