Sheriff: Pregnant women shot outside Oklahoma bar

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma authorities are looking for a man who they say shot two pregnant women outside of a Muskogee-area bar.

Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson tells the Tulsa World (http://bit.ly/VKhjqT ) the shooting happened at the Frog Wild Saloon on Sunday morning. He says one woman was eight months pregnant and the other was seven weeks pregnant.

Witnesses say the man shot them in the parking lot after an argument. Pearson says one woman was shot twice and the other was shot four or five times.

They were taken to a Muskogee hospital and later transferred to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Authorities described them as stable on Sunday night. Both babies are expected to survive.

The women's identities haven't been released.

Pearson says authorities have identified the suspect but haven't arrested or charged him.
