WASHINGTON (AP) — The Democratic National Committee says it raised almost $9 million in July and has more than $9.5 million ready for the final push toward November's elections.
The DNC on Wednesday released a summary of its finances that also shows it has reduced its debt to less than $2 million. The debt was almost $23 million last year. The DNC has now raised $121 million since January of 2013.
The Republican National Committee faces the same Wednesday deadline to report its fundraising and spending for July. As of the end of June, the RNC has outraised the DNC in 10 of the previous 18 months.
