Peace camp in US unites Israeli, Palestinian teens

A raging conflict in the Gaza Strip isn't dimming the hopes for peace among those who've taken part in a unique American camp.

Seeds of Peace is preparing to welcome teens from Israel, the Palestinian territories and other conflict-plagued countries at its camp in Otisfield, Maine.

For many, the camp is the first opportunity to form friendships with peers that might be considered enemies.

The camp began in 1993. Past participants say, even today, the lessons learned there nudge them to consider their words, have compassion for the other side and always to aim for peace.
