LOS ANGELES (AP) — An arraignment has been postponed for four teens charged with murder in the fatal beating of a University of Southern California graduate student from China.
The hearing was reset for Aug. 12.
The four teens are each charged with one count of murder with a special circumstance of murder during an attempted robbery.
Three of them face a special allegation for personally using a dangerous weapon — a baseball bat and wrench.
The victim, 24-year-old Xinran Ji, was attacked Thursday as he walked to his off-campus apartment after a study group.
In 2012, two USC students from China were fatally shot during an off-campus robbery.
