CINCINNATI (AP) — Authorities in southwest Ohio say a 44-year-old man has been jailed for inducing panic and other charges after leading police on a slow-speed chase in which he held a gun to his head.
Christopher McFerron of Lockland was being held Sunday in Hamilton County Jail pending a court appearance Monday. No attorney was listed for him.
Police say dozens of officers were involved in a chase at 2 mph to 30 mph that lasted more than an hour Saturday in the western Cincinnati area.
Authorities say police had signaled McFerron to stop. They say he stopped on Interstate 74, ordered his wife out, and then drove off with a .40-caliber handgun to his head. Police say they closed parts of Interstate 275 until McFerron gave up after ingesting heroin.
