COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police say a toddler was one of two people wounded by gunfire during a backyard gathering in northeastern Columbus.
The Columbus Dispatch reports (bit.ly/1pDf29L) that police were called to a home shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday after someone fired several shots from an alley into a backyard. A 2-year-old child and 22-year-old Dashawn Howard, who lives in the neighborhood, were injured.
The child, whose name and gender weren't released, was shot in the leg. Howard was shot in the foot. Both have been taken to hospitals.
Columbus Police Sgt. Loucious Hollis says both are in stable condition and are expected to recover.
No arrests have been made.
