COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An administrator from the staff of Republican Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sik) has been re-hired by Ohio Right to Life as its executive director.
Stephanie Renade (reh-NAYD') Krider begins her new position with the state's largest anti-abortion group on Aug. 4.
Krider had been serving as program manager for the Governor's Cabinet Opiate Action Team, which coordinates Kasich's cross-agency efforts to fight opiate abuse in the state. Among initiatives launched during Krider's tenure was a pilot project to address neonatal abstinence syndrome, where newborns experience withdrawal symptoms from drugs or alcohol abused by their mothers while they were pregnant or withdrawal from discontinuing certain pain therapy drugs.
Krider previously worked for Right to Life as the group's lobbyist.
