Hundreds line up in Salem for free dental care

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — About 300 people were lined up at dawn Friday for a free dental clinic set up in the gym at Chemeketa Community College in Salem.

Some had been waiting since Thursday morning to make sure they get into the Oregon Mission of Mercy's fifth annual dental clinic.

The Statesman Journal reports (http://stjr.nl/1s2QsUt ) volunteers offer cleanings, filings, extractions and limited treatments on a first-come, first-served basis Friday and Saturday.
