CINCINNATI (AP) — Police in Cincinnati say they've arrested a man accused of a fatal shooting downtown and suspected of injuring three others in separate shootings this week.
Police say 22-year-old Fonte Williams was arrested Wednesday night and charged with murder in the Monday slaying of 25-year-old Joshua Lamar Taylor. He was shot in the middle of Vine Street during an argument and collapsed at nearby Piatt Park.
Three people were shot near the park on Tuesday night, and police say Williams is suspected to be the gunman. More charges against him are pending as the investigation continues. Jail records included no attorney information.
At a news conference Wednesday, police Chief Jeffery Blackwell called it "an outbreak of recklessness that will not be tolerated."
