Don Cheadle begins Miles Davis movie in Ohio

CINCINNATI (AP) — With long hair and a cool ride, actors Don Cheadle and Ewan McGregor have begun filming in Cincinnati a movie about jazz music pioneer Miles Davis.

The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1n1gBeE ) reports that they hopped out of a green Jaguar on Monday. Producer Dan Wagner says Cheadle has a wig, while McGregor grew his hair out for his role as a Rolling Stone magazine reporter.

Cheadle has been trying for years to get the "Miles Ahead" movie made. The veteran actor whose credits include Showtime's "House of Lies" and movies including "Crash," ''Hotel Rwanda," and "Iron Man 3," also is directing.

Filming is expected to continue into August. Much of the movie is set in 1970s New York.

Ohio's movie business has been boosted in recent years by state incentives.
