Woman with cancer getting wedding wish granted

FLINT, Mich. (AP) — A Flint woman who has battled cancer for five years is about to get her wedding wish granted.

Jennifer Hutcheson and her husband-to-be, Allen Korth, are to say their "I do's" Sunday at a home in nearby Fenton.

Getting married was one of the 30-year-old Hutcheson's final wishes as cancer spread through her body and in February was given two to six months to live.

The now-88-pound Hutcheson tells The Flint Journal (http://bit.ly/1mWX4kb) she hopes to be able to walk down the aisle without using her wheelchair.

She calls the wedding "surreal, emotional" and better than she "thought it would be."

Hutcheson and Korth don't have to worry much about planning, because friends, family and a nonprofit organization called Wish Upon a Wedding have swooped in to help.
