Brass rods stolen from veterans' graves in NW Ohio

WAUSEON, Ohio (AP) — The superintendent of a northeast Ohio cemetery says about 100 brass rods that hold medallions and flags were stolen from veterans' graves.

WTOL-TV (http://bit.ly/1qu5Bxu ) reports the rods were replaced Monday at the Wauseon Union Cemetery, about 35 miles west of Toledo.

Cemetery superintendent Scott Stiriz says it's the second time the brass has been stolen there. He says he's considering installing security cameras.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the thefts. It estimates the stolen brass was worth about $350.
