Daughter of slain couple jailed on drug charges

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — A daughter of a prominent northeast Ohio couple fatally beaten with a sledgehammer last year has been jailed on a felony drug charge.

Nineteen-year-old Chelsea Lynn Schobert was jailed Tuesday after a judge revoked her bond because she missed a court-ordered appointment in her drug case.

The Akron Beacon Journal (http://bit.ly/1lSYThz ) reports she had been scheduled for sentencing on her plea last month to one count of trafficking in cocaine. But she skipped out on a court-ordered interview that was to have been part of a pre-sentence investigation report.

Schobert's former boyfriend — 19-year-old Shawn Eric Ford Jr. — and a juvenile are charged in the April 2013 slayings of her parents, Jeffrey and Margaret Schobert.

Her sentencing was rescheduled for Tuesday. Jail records didn't name an attorney.
