LAKEWOOD, Ohio (AP) — A band director at a suburban Cleveland high school has been charged with having sexual contact with a student at a park.
The Northeast Ohio Media Group (http://bit.ly/1oRvq8o ) reports that 27-year-old Lakewood High School band director Nathanial Harris is facing a charge of sexual battery. He's accused of sexual contact with a student Tuesday at a park in Rocky River.
The school district said in a press release that it is working with police and will conduct an internal investigation. Superintendent Jeff Patterson says "our thoughts are with the student and the student's family."
Harris was placed on administrative leave, banned from returning to district property and barred from having contact with students. He has not been arraigned, and court records don't include any attorney information.
