COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio officials say more than 230 vehicles will be for sale at a state surplus auction this weekend.
The state says a selection of cars, vans, trucks and sport utility vehicles will be up for bid at the Saturday auction in Columbus, at the General Services Division of the Department of Administrative Services. Officials say the vehicles are available for inspection this week before the auction.
They are sold as-is, without any warranty.
Surplus state property may be damaged or at the end of its government use or may have been seized by law enforcement officials. The state auctions the items to recover part of its initial investments.
State officials say Ohio's surplus auctions generated more than $3.9 million during fiscal year 2013.
