Southwest Ohio homeowner shoots intruder

CINCINNATI (AP) — Police say a southwest Ohio homeowner got his gun and shot one of the three people who broke into his house.

It happened early Wednesday in Union Township, east of Cincinnati.

Police say two adults and a juvenile broke into the house, and the homeowner shot and wounded the adult. The juveniles fled in a vehicle.

The wounded man was found walking down the road and was taken to a Cincinnati hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1l0qMF0) reports that the juveniles were found sitting in the vehicle in a nearby parking lot and were arrested.

No names have been released. No charges were filed against the homeowner, but the investigation is continuing.
