CINCINNATI (AP) — A southwest Ohio judge has set bond at $1.1 million for a woman charged with vehicular homicide after a crash that killed her 4-year-old grandson.
Police say 43-year-old Geanna (JEE'-nuh) Mitchell was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs Saturday night and was driving an SUV that she took without permission. They say she crossed center line on a bridge over the Ohio River. Police say the SUV flipped onto its top after hitting an oncoming car and a barrier.
Mitchell, her 9-year-old daughter and the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Mitchell's grandson, Logan Mitchell, was badly hurt and died at a hospital.
A Hamilton County judge set bond after a court appearance Monday morning. A telephone listed for her attorney wasn't receiving messages Monday.
