Ohio police blame accident for wife shooting

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a shooting that critically wounded a 70-year-old woman in a southwest Ohio suburb appears to have been accidental.

Police in Huber Heights say the woman's 69-year-old husband was questioned, then released. The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/1tTdhIM ) reports they have been married 50 years.

Police responded after receiving a call late Wednesday night. They say the woman was hospitalized in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police haven't released names or other details.
