COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a home invasion suspect has shot himself in the head after holding a SWAT team at bay in Columbus for more than two hours.
Columbus Police say the unidentified suspect was in critical condition at Grant Hospital after shooting himself Sunday afternoon. Police say the armed man held a SWAT team at bay while standing near a pond on the city's east side from 11:15 a.m. to just before 2 p.m.
