GOLETA, Calif. (AP) — An attorney for a Hollywood director says the family believes his son is responsible for a shooting rampage near a Santa Barbara, California, university campus.
Alan Shifman says that the family has not yet seen his body. But they have been told he was killed and believe he killed six people. Shifman is they attorney for Peter Rodgers, who was an assistant director on The Hunger Games.
Police say they are investigating a YouTube video connected to the case that shows a man describing a plan to kill women. Authorities have not confirmed the identity of the shooter, and the identity of the person in the video could not be independently confirmed.
Police say a drive-by shooter went on the nighttime rampage near the University of California, Santa Barbara. The attack left seven others wounded.
