COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio Military Hall of Fame will induct its 2014 class of veterans in a public ceremony in Columbus.
The ceremony inducting the class of 20 veterans will be Friday at Ohio Veterans Plaza at the Statehouse in Columbus. The ceremony includes a reading of each inductee's citation for valor and formal presentation of the Ohio Medal of Valor.
The hall was founded in 2000 to honor Ohio military veterans who have received medals for valor on the battlefield. This year's class includes representatives from the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. The inductees were born in or entered military service from Ohio or currently live in the state.
The Ohio Military Hall of Fame's permanent residence is at Motts Military Museum in the Columbus suburb of Groveport.
