Man, 2 firefighters suffer injuries in NJ fire

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (AP) — Police say a man has been severely burned and two firefighters have been injured in a house fire in the township's Lake Hiawatha section.

Lt. John Wieners tells NJN.com (bit.ly/1jfZtEn) that Donald Peloubet is being treated at a hospital burn unit and that the firefighters have been treated for smoke inhalation and burns.

The fire happened about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Neighbor Bill Donnelly says he was standing near his backyard pool when he saw flames coming from Peloubet's home. He says firefighters had to pry open the door to reach Peloubet, who was trapped inside.

Wieners says the house has been badly damaged.
