COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Officials say 25 motorcycles are among more than 175 surplus vehicles up for auction by the state.
The auction on Saturday at the General Services Division of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services also includes cars, vans and trucks. All vehicles are sold as-is with no warranties and must be paid for in full on the day of the auction.
Surplus state property may be damaged or is at the end of its government use. It also may include items seized by law enforcement officials
Surplus property auctions allow the public to purchase items at reduced prices and enable the state to recoup part of its initial investment.
State officials say miscellaneous property and vehicle auctions generated more than $3.9 million during fiscal year 2013.
