Jill Biden promotes Post-9/11 GI Bill website

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden's wife is promoting a new website designed to make it easier for service members, veterans, their spouses and dependents to calculate their benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill at thousands of schools and job training programs.

Jill Biden was appearing Wednesday on NBC's "Today" program to show it off.

Using what's called the GI Bill Comparison Tool, service members can estimate tuition and fees, housing allowances and book stipends for each school.

Before the website was created, service members had to consult multiple sources to find the same information.

The television appearance is part of a month of events by Jill Biden and first lady Michelle Obama marking the third anniversary of their nationwide support program for service members, veterans and their families.
