RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A community health fair in Richmond will provide free screenings, wellness education and follow-up resources to local residents.
The event is sponsored by the Virginia Commonwealth University MCV Campus Student Government Association. It's set for 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at Armstrong High School.
A variety of health screenings will be available, including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and sexual health. Dental and vision services will also be offered. Services will be provided by representatives of VCU's health sciences schools and local community health organizations.
The student-run fair will have a separate section for children with activities including crafts, healthy living education and face painting.
