Ohioan charged in death of ex-wife found in field

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A Toledo man has been charged in the slaying of his ex-wife whose body was found in a running vehicle parked in a field.

Ronald Boaston appeared in court Friday where a judge ordered that he be held on a $1 million bond.

He's accused of strangling his former wife at his home in February.

The Blade newspaper (http://bit.ly/1kd66Yf ) in Toledo reports that Boaston's family members denied he killed his former wife. His attorney declined to comment Friday.

Hunters found the body of 28-year-old Brandi Gonyer-Boaston in a Fulton County field.

The Blade reports that Boaston and his former wife divorced in 2006 and had two children together.
