Jeffrey Dahmer's childhood home for sale in Ohio

BATH, Ohio (AP) — The house where serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer grew up and committed his first murder is for sale in Ohio.

The home on a private wooded lot near Akron is on the market for just under $300,000.

Dahmer and his parents moved into the house in 1968 when he was just 8.

It was 10 years later when he committed his first murder in the house and buried the remains in the woods. Dahmer moved to Wisconsin in 1982 and went on to kill 16 more people before his crimes were discovered in 1991.

The realtor selling the house says about half the people who show interest are scared away once they learn about its past.

The house was up for sale two years ago before being pulled off the market.
