Ohio man killed during basketball court argument

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Police in Dayton say a man was fatally shot during argument on a basketball court in a city park.

Dayton police Lt. Mark Ponichtera tells the Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/1iZ8gt7 ) that the shooting occurred Tuesday night either during or immediately after a basketball game on a court in crowded College Hill Park.

The victim's name and other details haven't been released yet. He is believed to be in his mid- to late 20s.

Investigators are seeking the public help to find out who shot him. There were 75 to 100 people at the park, but many ran away at the sound of gunfire. Nobody else was hurt.

It's the seventh slaying in Dayton this year and the second since Sunday, when 32-year-old William Milliner was killed in a drive-by shooting.
