Trial set for Ohio daycare worker accused of rape

ELYRIA, Ohio (AP) — A former northern Ohio daycare worker accused of raping four children is now scheduled to go on trial in June.

Prosecutors say 25-year-old Heather Koon of Elyria (eh-LEER'-ee-uh) raped the children at the urging of her boyfriend, a registered sex offender.

She is to go on trial June 23 in Lorain County.

Her boyfriend, 34-year-old James Osborne of Elyria, also is facing charges linking him to the alleged sexual assaults.

Koon has denied the allegation while Osborne's attorney has said Osborne did not molest the alleged victims or knowing anything about a video that authorities say was found on Koon's laptop.

Authorities have said they found video of an assault on Koon's computer while investigating her boyfriend, a registered sex offender.
