Ohio newspaper: Military police detain journalists

LIMA, Ohio (AP) — A newspaper reports that military police detained a reporter and a photographer outside a tank plant in northwest Ohio after the photographer took pictures of the plant's exterior.

The Blade in Toledo (http://bit.ly/1laRVT0) says its reporter Tyrel (ty-REL') Linkhorn and photographer Jetta Fraser (FRAY'-zhur) had stayed outside the gate of the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center operated by General Dynamics Land Systems. The newspaper says its employees were stopped as they were leaving Friday and later released.

The Blade reports both were wearing media credentials. The newspaper says police kept Fraser's cameras, telling her photography of the plant was not permitted.

Messages left at the plant and with U.S. Army public affairs weren't immediately returned. A man answering a General Dynamics number Friday evening said offices were closed and messages couldn't be left.
