Hundreds attending marijuana conference in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — More than 300 people are expected to attend the Oregon Medical Marijuana Business Conference on Sunday and Monday in Eugene.

One organizer, Anthony Johnson of New Approach Oregon, says the aim is to help professionalize the industry as it moves into mainstream society.

The Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/1rzMYH7 ) much of the conference will focus on rules and regulations and the moratoriums on medical marijuana in some cities. The title of one presentation is "Dispensaries 101: How to Stay Open."
