CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — A Corvallis nursing home wants to limit visits by relatives while the staff contends with a cold outbreak that has left nearly a third of its 69 residents sick.
The Gazette-Times reports (http://is.gd/PIoORq) the Corvallis Manor nursing home reported the outbreak to the Benton County Health Department last week.
Corvallis Manor has contacted family members and asked them to postpone visits. The facility also posted signs notifying visitors of the outbreak and urging anyone who might be ill themselves to stay away.
People who still feel the need to visit a potentially infected resident are asked to wear a hospital gown, gloves and a mask.
