SC rep hosting forum on health care reform

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Columbia residents are getting a chance to learn more about how to get insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

A community health forum is taking place Monday at Brookland Baptist Northeast.

The gathering is hosted by state Rep. Mia McLeod in partnership with the South Carolina Hospital Association. Former state Rep. Anton Gunn is expected to be a guest speaker.

McLeod won election to the state House when Gunn left in 2010 to take a job as Southeast regional director for the U.S. Health and Human Services Department in Atlanta.
