KETTERING, Ohio (AP) — Two new freestanding emergency rooms are planned for communities in southwest Ohio.
The Kettering Health Network says it sees a need to offer emergency services near people in Eaton and Franklin. Each emergency room will be 11,400 square feet, and cost $9 million-$10 million.
Plans call for the Franklin facility in Warren County to have 12 rooms, and to employ 35-40 staffers. The Eaton E.R. in Preble County will have eight to 12 rooms, with 25-30 jobs.
The network says each emergency room will have four physicians on staff.
The emergency rooms are both expected to open in 2015.
The Kettering Health Network has eight hospitals.
