CINCINNATI (AP) — The Bengals say they have extended coach Marvin Lewis' contract by one year, through the 2015 season. This will be the 12th season in Cincinnati for Lewis, already the longest-tenured Bengals head coach and leader in career victories with 90. His contract had been due to expire after the upcoming season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Fedor Tyutin off injured reserve and have reassigned defenseman Cody Goloubef to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts. Tyutin has missed the last nine games with an ankle injury which occurred while playing for Russia at the Olympics.
