COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio Department of Taxation has launched a mobile app that will allow taxpayers to check the status of their tax refunds from a mobile device.
Tax Commissioner Joe Testa says the Ohio Tax App is intended to make the state tax system more user-friendly. It's the first mobile app ever offered by the department. He said the department's first-ever app also will help the department by reducing call volume.
The app allows users to track the status of both their individual and school district tax refunds. It also provides information on recent tax changes under Republican Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sik).
It further links to the department's Facebook page and to phone and email contacts there.
The app is free and available for download through Apple and Google Play.
