Whirlpool plans news about western Ohio plant

GREENVILLE, Ohio (AP) — The Whirlpool Corp. plans an announcement about its Greenville, Ohio, plant.

Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sik) and other state and local officials will be there, signaling a likely expansion. The plant that makes KitchenAid brand mixers, blenders and attachments already employs some 1,000 full- and part-time workers.

A news release says Whirlpool will have "an economic development" announcement for the Darke County plant.
