ASHTABULA, Ohio (AP) — A former Ohio high school wrestling coach has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges relating to him allegedly standing by while a wrestler assaulted another student.
The (Ashtabula) Star-Beacon (http://bit.ly/1qyZJkI ) reports that former Lakeside High School wrestling coach Jerry Brady pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in Ashtabula County Juvenile Court this week.
The January fight between a 17-year-old wrestler and a 16-year-old student outside a junior high school was captured on a security camera. The school district put Brady on administrative leave while conducting an investigation, then fired him last month.
If Brady is found guilty, he could face six months in jail for each count.
Ashtabula is northeast of Cleveland.
