CINCINNATI (AP) — More than a year ago, 65-year-old Paul Leiter (LIGHT'-er) was in his southwestern Ohio home when someone outside his window trained a gun on him and shot him dead.
His killing remains unsolved.
Sgt. Al Fatute (fuh-TOOT'), the lead investigator in Leiter's death for Miami Township police, tells The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1hJMyJ8) the department has worked the case every day since Leiter's wife found him dead in a chair the morning of Feb. 12, 2013.
Fatute described Leiter as "a very decent human being who never had an enemy in the world," and says that investigators want to be careful to get the case right.
He says the department is focused on potential leads of persons of interest but declined to elaborate.
