Married couple killed in Cincinnati house fire

CINCINNATI (AP) — A house fire has killed a husband and wife in Cincinnati.

Fire crews arrived to the burning home Sunday morning but were unable to save the homeowners.

WLWT-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1feOoCd) that Hank and Janet Drescher were pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say that 80-year-old Hank Drescher is a retired police officer.

More than 10 fire departments were called to the scene. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
