USC nurses host heart health, cooking fair

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The University of South Carolina College of Nursing and the wife of university President Harris Pastides are teaming up to improve heart health on campus.

Patricia Moore-Pastides is joining the health fair Thursday at the Russell House on Greene Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

University spokesman Jeff Stensland says Moore-Pastides and the nursing school want to raise awareness about the importance of heart health with engaging activities for the students, faculty and staff who are all welcome to attend.

Stensland says the event will feature healthy cooking samples from Moore-Pastides' new cookbook, "Greek Revival from the Garden."
