NEW YORK (AP) — Sam Champion says weather is what colors people's planning and decision-making as they go through their day and his new Weather Channel show will make weather its top priority.
The three-hour broadcast will air weekday mornings and be anchored by Champion. It will be called "America's Morning Headquarters" or "AMHQ" for short. It will premiere March 17.
Champion says his show also will include news, sports and popular culture.
He recently came to the Atlanta-based Weather Channel as its managing editor after making his name as the weathercaster on ABC's "Good Morning America."
Alongside Champion will be fellow Weather Channel meteorologists Mike Bettes and Maria LaRosa.
