COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Regulators are ready to release revenue figures for Ohio's casino industry, now in its third calendar year.
As the January revenue figures are released Friday, industry watchers will be looking to see if Ohio's four casinos have rebounded from a lackluster December.
Revenues at each of the four casinos declined in December. That led to the worst statewide showing in the nine months that all four casinos were open.
The fourth casino, in Cincinnati, opened last March. The others opened in 2012.
Casinos have been hurt by Ohio's growing racino industry featuring horse racing tracks with slots-style video lottery terminals. Three more opening this year will give Ohio a total of seven racinos.
