CINCINNATI (AP) — A southwest Ohio juvenile court judge is scheduled to be on the other side of the bench to face nine felony counts.
Judge Tracie Hunter had a hearing set Friday before a Hamilton County Common Pleas judge. She has been indicted on charges that include allegations she backdated documents and misused county credit cards.
Hunter hasn't responded directly to the charges, but the Democrat has indicated she believes she is being targeted for political reasons and because of changes she was bringing to the court. She was seated in 2012 after a legal battle over the disputed 2010 juvenile judge election.
The Ohio Supreme Court suspended her after her indictment last week. The state's highest court earlier held her in contempt for continuing to bar newspaper reporters from hearings.
