Police arrest suspect in Silicon Valley arsons

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — San Jose, Calif., police have identified a suspect they believe set at least 12 fires in the city over roughly a week, including a five-alarm blaze at a warehouse.

Forty-eight-year-old Patrick William Brennan of San Jose was arrested Wednesday and has been charged with two counts of arson.

Assistant Police Chief Eddie Garcia said on Thursday that additional charges are likely because authorities are "extremely confident" that Brennan is the suspect and that he acted alone in the fires.

Police say Brennan has a previous record of arson in California as well as out of state. He is being held on $1 million bail.
