Cleveland leading scorer Kyrie Irving missed 11 of 14 shots, 3 of 4 free throws, and finished with seven points.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Roy Devin Marble scored 22 points, Aaron White added 19 and No. 20 Iowa handed No. 3 Ohio State its second loss of the week yesterday, 84-74. LaQuinton Ross scored 22 points, Amir Williams had 11 and Lenzelle Smith Jr. 10 for 15-2 Ohio State. The Buckeyes had opened with 15 consecutive wins. Ohio State fell 72-68 in overtime at No. 5 Michigan State on Tuesday night.

ATHENS, Ohio (AP) — Quincy Diggs scored the final basket in both overtime sessions as Akron beat Ohio 83-80 last night. Diggs scored 20 points for 10-5 Akron and made the deciding basket of the game with 34 seconds left. Ohio's Stevie Taylor then missed a 3-pointer, but Akron's Nyles Evans missed both free throws with 14 seconds left giving Ohio a final chance. Ohio got two 3-pointers off in the final 10 seconds, but Nick Kellogg missed them both.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Doug McDermott scored 35 points with his sprained left shoulder, and Creighton held off Xavier 95-89 Sunday to move into a tie for first place in the Big East. Semaj Christon scored 27 points, Justin Martin had 21 and Matt Stainbrook added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the 13-4 Musketeers, whose eight-game win streak ended.
