ARCADIA, Wis. (AP) — Benedictine Health System is closing its nursing home in western Wisconsin.
The Benedictine Manor in Arcadia has notified its 53 residents that the facility will close in April. The nursing home employs 114 people.
Health System President Jim Gajewski says cost increases, declining reimbursement and a competitive environment are reasons for the decision to close. The Minnesota-based Catholic senior care organization has more than 40 facilities in six states.
