Ohio man sentenced to 12 years for child porn

CINCINNATI (AP) — A federal judge in southwestern Ohio has sentenced a 48-year-old man to 12 years in prison after prosecutors said more than 600 images of child pornography were found on his computer.

Federal prosecutors in Cincinnati said Paul G. Fox was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in April to receipt of child pornography.

Court documents said authorities in Australia notified U.S. authorities about images posted on a Russian Internet board that were ultimately traced to Fox.

Prosecutors said a search warrant executed in January 2013 turned up computer images "depicting children under 12 years old in sadistic and masochistic conduct."

After he completes his prison term, Fox will be under court supervision for the rest of his life and must register as a sex offender.
