Funerals set for Ohio man, 2 teens after shooting

BARBERTON, Ohio (AP) — Funeral services are scheduled for a northeast Ohio man and his two teenage children who died after what authorities describe as a New Year's Eve robbery and shooting.

Authorities said 18-year-old Ashley Carpenter and 14-year-old David Kohler-Carpenter died in the shooting at their father's home in Barberton, about 35 miles south of Cleveland. Their father, 42-year-old John Kohler, died days later.

The Plain Dealer in Cleveland (http://bit.ly/1f9yudT ) reports the teenagers' funeral service is scheduled immediately after calling hours Wednesday night at a Barberton church. Their father's service is planned Thursday evening at an Akron chapel.

The shooting also left his girlfriend in critical condition.

Two Akron men are charged with aggravated murder in the deaths. The men, who are brothers, are being held on bonds of $10 million each.
